Many expats in Singapore are heading to Sydney, mostly for family, but many returning home at great expense due to skyrocketing flight prices. Once you are settled and get into the Sydney vibe, this gem is fast becoming an institution in the Lower North Shore dining scene. Aristotle’s is a Greek fine dining-room that is the love of locals and visitors. Owner Maria O’Meagher supervises the floor with a friendly approach, making sure nothing is missing.
She's simply gorgeous, interested in all of her guests and focused on delivering exception experiences through food, good conversation, great ambiance and excellent wines.... the barmen make a brilliant dirty martini...for a heart starter. The elegant decor is inspired by Aristotle Onassis’ yacht; white couches at the outside tables are an extension of the very high-ceilinged room with stunning gold lamps and elegant dark timber tables.
The menu is designed for sharing, or, as the Greeks call it, meze. We opened with the delicious haloumi served with pomegranate, red grapes, honey, balsamic, oregano and walnuts. We then followed with a roast lamb dinner, especially this one as it is a Greek one. You would have to turn down a date with Tom Cruise for this melt in your mouth - fall off the bone slow-cooked lamb shoulder. I won't go into all the menu here although, take my word - it is ALL FABULOUS...my eyes couldn't stop darting to meals being served on tables opposite. The wine menu is extensive and the welcoming staff are well trained to help you with a selection to suit your meal.

Shortly after Jackie O became Jackie O and started cruising the Greek seas in her new husband’s 325-foot luxury yacht, the Greek Islands and, in particular, Mykonos became a hot spot for the jet-set crowd of the 60s and 70s.
Aristotle's Neutral Bay Greek Yogurt Cheesecake with Blueberry Compote & Golden Honeycomb and Loukoumades
The island was frequented by the likes of Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, and Brigitte Bardot, to name a few, and the windmill-dotted shores gave birth to a sleepless nightlife. Mykonos from then on became an intoxicating mix of Greek island life influenced by cosmopolitan flavours and they evoke that spirit here at Aristotle's.
