Anyone remotely familiar with Singapore knows what importance the area of Serangoon Gardens holds in the history of the city. Having been on the map of Singapore for over 70 years, it is natural that Serangoon Gardens has established quite a name for itself, owing to the diverse array of bistros, cafes, bars and restaurants, apart from a lot of other places to shop or even unwind and relax.
The best part is that it is unofficially named “Little Paris” and rightly so, as a lot of places around here are reminiscent of the Capital of France. Expat Choice compiles some of the most sought after places to give your tummy a treat at Serangoon Gardens. Trust us, it’s going to be worth it. Keep reading to find out more. Dan’s Steaks
Born out of Phase 1 of Singapore’s Circuit Breaker, Dan’s Steaks started off with Chef Daniel Ong cooking delicious sous vide steaks, perfectly seared, accompanied with a generous helping of sides and condiments. Considering how well it was received, it was only fitting that it be converted into a full blown steakhouse. Dan’s Steaks is a paradise for steak lovers today. A wide range of steaks including wagyu, USDA prime steaks and grass fed steaks are waiting to be tucked into. Besides, there are a lot of other options like the miso salmon or the Korean chicken with mac n cheese, kimchi, honey balsamic tomatoes or garlic mash. Image Credit: Dan's Steaks Facebook Page

LPB Market
All thanks to the French International School which has opened up in Singapore’s very own Serangoon Gardens, new French bakeries, cafes and restaurants are sprouting up frequently. The LPB Market is managed by French expatriates Morgane Freyermuth and Jean Baptiste Couty. Don’t let the size of this store deceive you by any means though. The dainty looking store is house to some of the most scrumptious ingredients you will find. From croissants, pastries and baguettes to chunks of smelly cheeses, charcuterie, wines and of course, chocolate. I’m salivating already. Image Credit: LPB Market Facebook Page

Chomp Chomp Food Centre
Having been on the map of Singapore for about five decades, Chomp Chomp has got an extremely high rating by local Singaporeans, and for good reason. What started off as a single stall selling dishes to house street hawkers has today culminated into a food centre with 36 stalls, each serving delectable hawker grub. We recommend the satay, the wanton mee and the Ah Hock Fried Hokkien Noodle. End your meal on a high with their delicious carrot cake from stall 36 and go home satisfied.
