Step into the soothing ivory and Tiffany blue interiors of Jade at The Fullerton Hotel and dine on signatures like Crispy Roasted Pork and Simmered Noodles with Boston lobster and X.O. Sauce.

Featuring two private rooms and two partitioned areas, it is elegantly furnished and boasts specially commissioned wallpaper and stunning lantern lighting.

The weekend Yum Cha is exquisite, ($50 per pax), the ambience of Jade restaurant is delightful, especially after having such a long time cooped up at home. The Char Siew is delicious and pork rib, succulent and tender.

For Phase 2, social distancing measures are still in place, and restaurant dine-in reservations are limited to a maximum of 5 persons per table.

This is how it works. You get to select 15 items - each comprise of 2 pieces (this is alot of food) from the extensive menu.

You have choices from Steamed Dim Sum, such as Fresh Prawn Dumplings, Abalone Siew Mai or the most popular Xiao Long Bao. Golden (fried) Dim Sum, such as Radish Cakes, Shrimp Dumplings, Spring Rolls and the delicious Egg Tarts. Appetisers such as Roasted Pork Belly, Wasabi Prawns and Chilli Chicken cannot be missed.

Soup is counted as 2 servings for one choice but you are invited to mix and match so you can order a Spicy and Sour soup, while your partner might rather the Braised Bird's Nest.

Main Course has all the favourites including Sweet and Sour Pork, Chicken and Cashews, Beef with Spring Onions or the Beef with Black Bean. Seasonal vegetables, French beans and even a braised eggplant allow for the vegetarian on your table to dig in.

Moving on to Rice, Noodles and Porridge you will find everything to expect from a Luxe experience such as Jade including Lobster Porridge, Beef Hor Fun and the easy-going Wok Fried Fragrant Five Grain Rice.

And yes, desserts including Mango Sago for a refreshing end or the Almond cream.

This is my first social experience out last weekend. Sunday Yum Cha ( Dim Sum) with Julie Renyard at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore Jade at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore - best 50 bucks I've spent in quite some time.

The social distancing here put you at ease instantly. Very selective and very affordable ( when not drinking copious amounts of booze ) - stick to the tea.
