Those familiar with Indian cuisine don’t need to be told about the deliciousness of dosai with a sprinkle of podi or hot sambaar and idli. We recommend ordering their Nannari Sarbath (S$10.00) or Narantham Soda (S$22.00) with your meals as both beverages are absolutely refreshing. Their Vengayam Pakoda (S$12.00) are a crispy vegan treat served best with either coconut (S$2.00) or chow chutney (S$3.00), also vegan. You’ll also love their ala carte dishes like Inji Rasam (S$10.00), Jackfruit Kesari (S$12.00) and Kadamba Sambaar (S$12.00).

At the heart of our kitchen is our vibrant Jamuna patti, for whom food is the best expression of friendship and love. Drawing inspiration from the recipes of her own childhood, seasoned with her creativity, each of our dishes reflects her deep passion for fresh, nutritious food and her joy in feeding everyone around her. Her meticulously planned menu includes healthy alternatives to rice, with fresh seasonal vegetables cooked in spices that are authentic to South India.

Maybe it’s a flavour you remember from childhood, or that familiar aroma of spices roasting in ghee…or maybe, you just want to explore and discover new flavours. Whichever it may be, at Podi and Poriyal, we are happy to be a part of that journey with you. Because we believe that good food should be shared; food that offers ample nourishment, not just for the body, but also for the soul, leaving you with a lasting impression and a warmth you will remember for a long time to come.
