Imagine this: One vision, two Spaniards, two dreams. They pictured a location where the cuisine, wine, and culture of Spain would truly come to life. So, a Basque wine connoisseur and an Andalusian chef teamed up.
Chef Houssein Hafian arrived in Singapore in 2013 with the sole purpose of pursuing his passion for Spanish cuisine after developing his culinary abilities at the Gijon cooking school and working for a while in a number of restaurants and hotels.
In 2019, he made the decision to rewrite history and launch Next Door Spanish Cafe. Chef Javier Rejas, a Valencia native, now works alongside Chef Houssein to modernise classic dishes. In this secluded area, it's all about unwinding and enjoying traditional tapas and paellas.
