Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant - Fraser Street

Published - 13 May 2018, Sunday

The insanely popular bib gourmand Man Man on 1 Keong Saik where queues make great snake impressions, have opened a second outlet at Duo Gallery.

This is the place for unagi fans though Man Man do something different to the norm – they specialise in live grilled eels! Japanese imported eels are killed, skewered and grilled on the spot for donburi (from $18.60) to Hitsumabushi ($26.80).

Unagi lovers must try this restaurant out if they want to get the real Japanese taste.

WOW, want to do this so bad. Looks amazing and something I would really enjoy eating. The atmosphere and amazing food. Will be interesting to compare to Japan itself.

"My friend started queuing at 515pm and was fourth in queue. They only let complete party to go in. I arrived at 620pm and got seated immediately. Food arrived within 5-10 minutes of serving. Food was amazing. The bbq-charred-caramelised-crispy flavour is better than any unagi i have tasted, even in Japan. Contrary to the reviews here, I encountered not bad service though the servers look a bit hassled. When we left at 715pm, there were around 10-15 people in the queue. Maybe there are lesser people on a Monday nite."
