Boon Tong Kee

Published - 24 August 2021, Tuesday

In 1979, Mr Thian Boon Hua started a small stall in Chinatown serving Cantonese chicken rice. Building upon the popularity of his silky white sauce chicken rice and emphasis on quality service, he rallied his family members to establish Boon Tong Kee’s first restaurant at Balestier Road in 1983. From the traditional Balestier Road outlet to the upscale River Valley branch, Boon Tong Kee has enthralled Singaporeans and tourists alike with its delectable food and friendly staff. Boon Tong Kee is really a boon for the people of Singapore. It started off as an unassuming chicken stall courtesy of Thian Boon Hua in 1979, and has only progressed in its endeavours since. Located at multiple outlets across Singapore, this outlet is most known for serving young, white, Cantonese style chicken. Well, that’s not all they specialize in! Perfectly appetizing zi char dishes like barbecued suckling pig, crispy cereal prawns and steamed egg with delicious crab meat also grace the menu card at BTK. Head over to their website for more details.
