The Singapore Distillery set up Singapore Distillery with the aim to make great gin using Southeast Asia’s greatest resource, its herbs and spices. Singapore has always been a melting pot of different cultures, each with their own cuisines that use different herbs and spices that would be perfect to incorporate into a gin to let the world try the amazing flavours and aromas of Southeast Asia.
Gin isn’t only about the ingredients however, it’s also about the process of distillation. The Singapore Distillery knew that they would need a proper copper still to bring everything together.
All the gins are diluted to 42.5% ABV, or alcoholic strength. In the experience and the findings of many distillers worldwide, this brings out the best flavour of botanicals without having a sort of raw alcohol taste which is the case when the alcohol strength is higher. Many Gin connoisseurs say that gins with less than 42.5% ABV don’t have the flavour to stand up to tonic water or other ingredients in cocktails.
Thanks to the 3 processes in making our gin, The Singapore Distillery think that they have succeeded in making the smoothest, tastiest, refined gins available.

Why? Because Gin is all about FLAVOURS and FRAGRANCES. So to keep all the many flavours and fragrances which we infuse and distill into our GIN, we had to find a way to keep them all in our Gins forever, as fresh fragrant and vibrant as the day they came out of our still. Just a security cap could not possibly do 100% of this task. So we sealed them HERMETICALLY so no air can go in and nothing can escape our bottles.
That is why our Gins will be as good as the day it left our still on the day you open a bottle.
