Petite Pain

Published - 18 October 2021, Monday

Petit Pain is a small batch bakery run by just two of us, Mark and Regina. We wish to reach out to the local community, making bread that is affordable for everyone without compromising quality and honoring tradition. We believe that good bread should be kept as simple as possible; relying on good ingredients and techniques to bring out the best aroma and flavor. Image Credit: Petite Pain Facebook Page

RATED 8 / 8

Be prepared to wait in a queue if you’re ordering from Petite Pain. This is a small bakery in Joo Chiat which is swarming with hungry customers desperately waiting to place their order. They are known to use fermented French butter, and they prepare the fillings themselves. Fermented for almost a day, the breads are made from French, Japanese or organic milled flour, and they come out more buttery than ever. Oh and don’t forget! They have a limit of 8 pastries per person, so make sure you bring a date. Two birds, one stone?
