Look forward to beautifully crafted pastries with enticing flavours from Frosted By Fang at Baker X from 7 to 26 June 2022. The home baker will be the ninth resident at Baker X baking studio and café in Orchard Central. Presenting an assorted range of bakes with creative twists on classic favourites such as swiss rolls, tiramisu, loaf cakes as well as weekly specials.

Launched by Far East Organization in December 2021, Baker X supports home bakers who wish to explore scaling up into full-fledged outlets. The initiative provides them with a business opportunity, at no cost, in the form of a fully fitted baking studio and 10-seat café operated in tandem with social enterprise, Foreword Coffee Roasters.

Lee Su Fang, Founder and Baker of Frosted by Fang, discovered her passion and love for creating innovative pastries during a school break. The self-taught home-baker takes pride in developing delectable confections that have amassed a following of loyal fans. Her baking philosophy lies in being curious, creative, and inspired by the art of baking.

Frosted by Fang offers an array of bakes that is a testament to Su Fang’s creativity. Crowd favourites include the Orh Nee Swiss Roll ($8.50/roll) – a spin on the traditional Teochew dessert that showcases a delicate and fluffy coconut sponge filled with homemade velvety yam paste. The Chocolate Rum Cherry Tiramisu ($15/box) is a delightful combination of the popular classics – Tiramisu and Black Forest cake.

The delicious treat is made with espresso-infuse ladyfingers layered with creamy mascarpone, rum-soaked cherries, and chocolate ganache, topped with cocoa powder. Brimming with refreshing citrusy notes, the Almond, Orange & Blackcurrant Loaf ($5.50/slice) is studded with tangy blackcurrants and finished with almond flakes on top.

Other bestsellers include the chewy Coconut & Yuzu Curd Mochi Donut ($3.80/donut) with zesty yuzu curd and adorned with dried edible flowers. The Cinnamon Apple Crumble Bar ($6/bar) showcases cinnamon-spiced apples atop a buttery shortcrust base and topped with a sprinkle of streusel crumble for an added crunch.

The chunky Chocolate Chip & Walnut Cookie ($3.50/cookie) is generously packed with three different types of chocolate chips from milk to dark, infused with aromatic Valrhona Manjari Feves 64% cocoa and crowned with walnut bits.
