Analogue Initiative
Check out Analogue Initiative, a fantastic new pub! It's all about promoting dialogue and sustainability. The location, a renovated chapel with a distinctive style, is magnificent. The bar counter is built of recycled cerulean plastic from more than 1,600kg of plastic waste. A form of fungus called mycelium is also used to make the tables. But it goes beyond appearances. The bar attempts to increase public awareness of sustainable food practises. The restaurant offers the first totally plant-based menu in Singapore. Although the cocktails are light and energising, they also provoke thought.
They promote conversation on the link between the food business and the environment. Moreover, what about the food? Oh, that tastes great! They offer flavorful platters made of plants. Imagine crispy tacos made of jackfruit with a wonderful, meaty filling. Or smooth, skinned pumpkin dumplings that resemble mochi. Yum!
The goal of Analogue Initiative is to deliver the familiar in fresh, thoughtful, and delectable ways. They make a statement by using eco-friendly substitutes. But more crucially, they've developed a distinctive drinking experience that is exclusive to them. It's a location where taste and sustainability coexist. Love Handle
Visit Love Handle, Asia's first vegan butcher, to avoid seeing any carnage! When you enter, a glass counter with a choice of meat cuts made completely of plant-based ingredients will welcome you. They have everything, from raw meatballs to calamari rings to unagi fillets, and even beef wellingtons. Smoked brisket slices are also available. There is a sense of familiarity, like buying at any other butcher.
Three categories can be found in Love Handle's vegetarian butcher: marinated goods, frozen items, and ready-to-eat vegan cold cuts and condiments. Although they sell items from well-known manufacturers like Impossible Foods, Tindle, and Green Rebel Foods, the majority of their ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook vegan meats are original creations of their own after extensive testing.
We heartily advise going there to enjoy their quaint 40-seat dining area. There, chef-owner Addis Tan and his staff have created a menu that is entirely plant-based. The celeriac Alfredo stood out as our favourite dish. The spaghetti made from celeriac was crisp and tasted distinctly vegetal. Instead of eggs, it had an alfredo sauce made with soy milk and infused with Hao Gan Ma, earthy grilled oyster mushrooms, and earthy oyster mushrooms.
Our palates were in for a real treat with the creamy umami flavours. Love Handle should be commended for their commitment to setting the standard in a field rife with controversy and divergent viewpoints. Talk to the welcoming staff members working behind the counter while you're there. Who knows, they may even divulge some information regarding their creative mad scientist experiments.
