ExtraOrdinary People hosts the debut "ExtraOrdinary Stars" event at The Star Theatre on Friday, December 1, 2023. This 100-minute live concert includes worldwide artists such as famous magician Cyril Takayama and multi-time GMA award winner A-Lin. The main goal of this spectacular event is to inspire young people with special needs and those from less affluent situations to pursue their goals. These young people receive specialised training as well as lifetime assistance to help them realise their full potential and attain independence. It's more than simply a concert; it's a movement called the Unleash Your Light Movement.
The Unleash Your Light Movement believes that true human-to-human connections are the cornerstone for personal and societal transformation. It thinks that these connections can break down barriers, spark individual potential, and enable everyone to shine. The message of the movement is simple: "Me" becomes "We."
The earnings from ticket sales, which begin at SGD$128, will be divided equally among three IPC charitable organisations: ExtraOrdinary People, Happee Hearts Movement, and YMCA. In addition, every ticket purchase qualifies for a 250% tax credit, making your gift even more powerful.
"We hope that the special needs and underprivileged community become inspired to dream and share their inspiring stories and believe that nothing is impossible," said Mr. Wee Boo Kuan, Co-Founder & Director of ExtraOrdinary People. Their purpose is to provide opportunity for everyone to show their light.
ExtraOrdinary Stars is pleased to announce that Singapore Raffles Music College is its primary partner. Mr. Ryan Goh, the college's Executive Director, stated their dedication to developing a comprehensive learning support system and allowing their students to shine on stage and share their inspiring tales.
But it isn't all. The Unleash Your Light Movement has partnered with China Mobile to shift the focus from "Me" to "We." The first 1,000 concert ticket holders will receive a special promotion plan from China Mobile, which includes 100GB of data for $10 a month. Unleash Your Light will also donate 500 China Mobile plans to 500 low-income families for a year. If the music hall sells out, Unleash Your Light will sponsor 500 more China Mobile plans, reaching 1,000 low-income families.
