Negroni Week, the annual initiative by Campari Group and Imbibe Magazine is back for another round of drinking for a good cause. In its 10th edition, this year’s campaign will be fronted by 10 representing bartenders alongside their Negroni Handshake as a celebration of creativity, hospitality and the unforgettable bittersweet constant of the iconic cocktail – Campari.
Handing the power of fundraising to local bars and restaurants, Negroni lovers can expect to sip creative renditions of the beloved cocktail at over 60 venues across Singapore from 12 – 19 September.
In correspondence to the 10th year milestone, Campari Group Asia has recruited 10 local bars to lead this year’s campaign. Shortlisting a varied mix of favourite venues known for their distinctive styles, the bars will be represented in a series of photo and video content featuring a chosen representative and their special Negroni Handshake. As with previous years, participating bars can opt to donate a portion of proceeds from any variant of Negroni sold throughout the week.
Negroni Themed Activations 1/ Opening Party
Date & Time: Sunday 11 September, 5pm – 9pm Venue: Caffe Fernet
Kicking off the week-long activation will be the Opening Party at Caffe Fernet. Held on Sunday
11 September, Negroni fans and cocktail lovers are invited to partake in Negroni themed activities which include a Negroni battle between an all Italian cast of bartenders from the Jigger & Pony group.
2/ WIN A YEAR OF NEGRONI
Date: 5 – 24 September Venue: Opus Bar & Grill
In collaboration with the folks at Opus Bar & Grill, Campari Group Asia will be setting up a Campari Table Photo Booth with décor elements for an Instagram-worthy shot. As means to incentivize participation, one lucky winner with the best photo tagging @opusbarandgrill and #NegroniWeekOpusBarandGrill and will stand to win complimentary full serves of Negroni for every subsequent visit across the year.
3/ NEGRONI FREE-FLOW AT GIO
Date & Time: 13 September, 7pm – 11.59pm Venue: GIO Singapore
Come Tuesday 13 September, GIO (Gourmet Italian Osteria) – an Italian restaurant at Tanjong Pagar – will be having a free-flow Negroni night. Priced at just S$48++, diners or drink seekers around the CBD area can look forward to drinking an endless serve of the bittersweet and spirit-forward classic from dinner till late.
4/ SMOKE & MIRRORS GUESTSHIFT AT PUBLICO
Date & Time: 17 September, 12pm – 3pm
Venue: Publico Ristorante at InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay
The Italian brunch at Publico Ristorante just got boozier. On the Saturday noon of 17 September, bartenders Edu Zamora and Mel John Chavez are set for a 3-hour brunch shift where they will be serving up an array of Negroni specials along with their representing Handshake Negroni for guests craving a bittersweet hit. From 12th September to 25th September, diners may also enjoy the 'Table 10' experience at Publico Ristorante - an intimate, Campari-branded space, featuring a selection of Negroni specials in celebration of Campari and Negroni Week.
In a bid to reinforce the importance of drinking responsibly, Negroni Week Singapore has collaborated with ride hailing service TADA at 6 selected venues – Smoke & Mirrors, Dragon Chamber, Tipsy Bird, Lime House East Coast, Trapizza and Cellarbration Bistros. Across these outlets, the first 50 drinkers will be incentivized with $3 off promo codes that can be applied to their booking from the venues.
