I was excited to check out the Christmas Wonderland and wasn’t disappointed!

We booked the 6.30pm slot which was great timing as the sun was setting and the queue to get in moved quickly.  We were greeted on entry by the sight of the double storey carousel and the sound of Christmas carols playing throughout the gardens.

There was a wonderful festive feeling in the air, and it was really fun to walk around and look at all the Christmas light displays and take pictures in front of them.  There were lit-up giant presents, baubles, bridges, and a reindeer sleigh to sit in, which were all covered in hundreds of twinkly lights.  There were lots of people and also - pups - posing!

We took a turn on the carousel and went straight to the top story for the best view.  This was fun (and for me, nostalgic) and gave us a different view of the lights.  There were also carnival games, gift stalls and the Walk of Stars.  This was my favourite - you could walk through a 40 metre walkway while starry lights overhead and around you changed colour.

Best of all, Santa was there too!

I’d recommend booking an early slot to avoid the crowds and so you can see the lights both at sunset and at night!
