Discover the magic of Singapura as premium wine retailer and curator of bespoke boozy gift sets, Bevvies, partners with multi-disciplinary graffiti artist, SONG to debut his captivating and immersive exhibition, THE SPIRITUAL AWAKENING: Magic of Singapura, from 4 to 17 February 2023 at the UltraSuperNew Gallery.
Local graffiti artist, SONG, invites guests to explore the fluidity of art expressed through a dynamic exhibition of sculptures, life-sized paintings, to digital and mix media mediums. The installation, titled “THE SPIRITUAL AWAKENING: Magic of Singapura”, takes visitors on a reflective journey through the diverse Colombian heritage and how it intertwines with his Asian ancestral roots.
The vibrant and mythical world presented in the exhibition is a reinterpretation of Singapore’s past and future through the eyes of the artist.
Experience the sensorial journey as you encounter SONG’s Shamanic masks, inspired by the elements of Earth, Water and Fire. These intricate ceramic works breathe life into ancient earth, sea, and soul rituals. Delicate stained-glass pieces amplify the exhibition with bold colours and designs representing floral, light, and ethnic imagery.
Hand-crafted bronze necklaces and earrings, presented in Asian-influenced shapes, and studded with precious Jade, Obsidian, Amber, and Emerald gems, await inspection. The exhibition offers an array of other glistening displays, including archival prints and canvas paintings and a plethora of activities over three weeks, including a progressive Blockchain NFT Event, live painting sessions with fellow local artists, artist tours, and a closing ceremony on 16 and 17 February 2023.
The exhibition will also carry merchandise from Ledania, one of the most prominent artists in the Bogota scene. Known for her mastery in graphic design, street art and illustration, Ledania's recent partnership with Disney's movie, Encanto, saw her artwork featured as part of the film's merchandise.
Bevvies intertwines the programme with its curation of specially selected award-winning wines, crafted to provide a meaningful journey to pair alongside the exhibition, championing the continuation of art and culture in the city. Guests can expect a truly immersive experience and have the opportunity to taste the Carlei VAT58 Shiraz 2019, a warm climate Shiraz with ripe dark red berry fruits and dark cherries, balanced acidity, and soft tannins, hailing from Central Victoria, Australia.
Enjoy the Mozzie Sauvignon Blanc 2021, a crisp and refreshing white with tropical notes of peach and white pear, a clean and dry style, and a zesty tangy acid structure from Marlborough, New Zealand as well as a glass of Wild Earth Pinot Noir Rosé 2022, a dry-style rosé with bright red fruit, floral aromas, tangy acidity, and creamy texture.
