Antiques of the Orient was formed in 1981 by the late Mr Michael J. Sweet and Ms Julie Yeo to retail Oriental works of art, particularly Chinese porcelain and furniture, and to a lesser extent, maps and prints.
They started out in a small shop in the basement of Tanglin Shopping Centre where we remained until 1987, when we relocated to our present premises in a larger unit on the second floor.
As time passed, their focus shifted from porcelain and furniture to Antiquarian maps and prints.
