Restaurant Gaig, located in the bustling Telok Ayer neighbourhood, is like a piece of Barcelona right here in the Lion City. The Michelin-starred restaurant headed by Chef Carles Gaig, a culinary superstar, now has its first overseas location. He's well-known to those who are familiar with Catalan cooking!
The surprise is that it's a family affair, though. The operation is run by Nria Gibert, Carles' daughter, who also employs executive chef Mart Carlos Martnez, who was trained by her father.
They give vintage recipes—some of which date back more than 150 years—a contemporary twist. Imagine classic recipes with Chef Marti's unique flare and the finest ingredients. It's like a flavour explosion that honours Catalonia's vibrant spirit.
What's being served? Everything! from appetisers to paellas to delectable main courses. Not to mention their renowned Cannelloni recipe, which dates back to 1869.
