Information
The first private Portuguese home cooking in Singapore was born through Green Apron with the intention of making Portuguese gastronomy and its culture known. Chef Daniel has perfected the flavours of Piri Piri Chicken, one dish that seems to be recognised as a Portuguese dish by locals. Chef Daniel has had a few requests since some time back but only tried perfecting the dish recently. In Portugal hosts do not like to cook chicken when they host a good meal because chicken is ‘not good enough’. Do you know that beans used to cost more than chickens in Portugal? This is a dish of Portuguese roots from Portuguese colonies Angola and Mozambique. Marinate is key Chef Daniel has a secret sauce that is zesty and bit picante (spicy).
