I have been to The Hangar now about ha;lf a dozen times and each time has been a difference experience. ALL GREAT. the first time I stumbled across The Hangar a jazz trio was playing including Jeremy Monteiro (born 20 June 1960, Singapore) a jazz pianist, singer, composer, and music educator. In Singapore he was named "Singapore's King of Swing" by the local press. and he is certainly a well-known international artist whom I found out while talking to him on the night, that he was concentrating on his live performances in Singapore and not travelling so much. This man is a jazz legend and here he was performing at this unique cafe in Arab street. I was quite blown away by this....The night went on with great food, excellent drinks... maybe in retrospect a few too many drinks, and great music and laughter. The next few times I came to The Hangar I had a business meeting on one occasion, a date on another occasion and then only this week called in for a refreshing draft on tap beer after a last appointment in the area. What I love particularly about The Hangar is that it has something for every occasion. Coffee, breakfast, lunch and power shake after a Yoga class ( of yes, I did that too) and then into the evening it's more a bar come cafe/restaurant. Excellent staff, great service. awesome cafe.
