Launched on 20 December 2021 by Far East Organization, Baker X features a line-up of home-based bakers who will take up residency of two to six weeks.
Far East Organization recognises that small businesses are the heart of Singapore’s communities and the backbone of our economy. Led by the belief to inspire better lives, the Organization re-evaluated the role of retail spaces to provide innovative formats for entrepreneurs to extend their click to brick presence, leading to the inception of Baker X.
The baking studio and café at Orchard Central features an industrial chic interior design with table and counter seating for up to 10 guests. The baking studio is fully fitted with appliances from brands such as leading Swiss household name, V-ZUG. Baker X is operated by the baker-in-residence, complemented by Foreword Coffee Roasters – a social enterprise that aims to provide an inclusive work environment for neurodiverse individuals.
