The 50-hectare Coney Island Park is rich in biodiversity and home to several nationally threatened fauna species such as birds like the Rusty-breasted Cuckoo and Spotted Wood-Owl, and dragonflies like the Sultan and Lined Forest-Skimmer. Plants that are critically endangered and even locally extinct in the wild, like the Barringtonia species and Cycads, can also be seen at the park.
