The Peppermint Restaurant at Parkroyal Collection is offering a Korean buffet promotion that’s an absolute treat for the senses. Aptly named "Seoul Good," this buffet brings Korea's vibrant and diverse flavours straight to your plate.

Let’s jump into the menu. Korean Cheese Grilled Lobster is a must-try. I don’t usually think of pairing cheese with lobster, but this dish proves that sometimes the most unexpected combinations are the most delightful. The tangy cheese perfectly complements the sweet, tender lobster meat, creating a harmonious blend that’s hard to forget.

Next up, we have the Yangnyeom-Tongdak & Dakgangjeong—two variations of fried Korean chicken. If you’re a fan of Korean cuisine, you’ll recognise these crispy, juicy delights. The original style chicken, with its perfectly crispy skin and moist meat, is irresistible. The spicy version adds an extra kick that will have your taste buds dancing.

Gogi-Gui, or Korean-style BBQ premium meat, is another highlight. The BBQ meat is served with fresh, crisp lettuce, which acts as a handy “taco” for the juicy, flavourful meat. Topped with sesame seeds, pickled onion, and a spicy sweet sauce, each bite is a burst of flavour. Yummo!

One dish that was new to me was Andong JJimdak. This savoury dish features chicken and various vegetables marinated in ganjang (Korean soy sauce). It’s a hearty and satisfying option that’s sure to please.

The Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) is a warm, delicious bowl of comfort. Technically, it’s just chicken soup with ginseng, but gastronomically, it’s in a league of its own. The flavours are rich and soothing, making it a perfect dish for any day. This is a “must-try.”

Gamja Sausage, or Korean corn chicken sausage, is a fun and tasty street food item. These corn dogs have a unique crispy texture and are served with tomato or mustard sauce. There’s even a sugar-sprinkled version for those who like a touch of sweetness. I’ll definitely be trying that next time!

For those who love a bit of spice, the Tteokbokki (Hot & Spicy Rice Cake) is a treat. These chewy rice cakes are coated in a spicy sauce that packs a punch. They were a crowd favourite, as the serving dish emptied quickly with each new batch.

One of my personal highlights was the Gochujang Baby Lamb Ribs. The meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone, with just the right amount of lamb fat adding a delicious gelatinous layer. I confess I went back for seconds!

Peppermint also offers a rotating selection of Banchan (Korean Side Dishes). Depending on the day, you might find Baechu Kimchi (cabbage kimchi), Kkakdugi (radish), Kimchi Eomuk Bokkeum (spicy fish cake), Oi Muchim (marinated cucumber), Gamja Jorim (braised potatoes), Gim Gui (roasted sesame seaweed), or Maneuljjong Muchim (spicy garlic sprout).

The best part? Peppermint's Seoul Good promotion is Halal-certified, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. The buffet exceeded my expectations of Korean cuisine, and I’m sure it will do the same for you. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to savour the soul of Seoul. And oh, that soup!

While this month’s promotion features Korean specialties, Peppermint's usual buffet continues to impress. Lose yourself in the ice bed of fresh seafood, including lobster halves, oysters, and the freshest, crunchiest prawns. Other favourites include the Japanese station with sliced-to-order sashimi, the Indian station with its famous dal, and the enormous salad bar featuring a wheel of Parmesan cheese, ensuring something for every palate.

Peppermint isn’t just about the food; it’s about the experience. The attentive service, especially from our server Sharon Teng, adds a personal touch to the meal. She deserves a special shoutout for her focused and friendly approach.

In conclusion, Peppermint's "Seoul Good" promotion is a culinary journey worth taking. The variety and quality of dishes make it a standout experience that will leave you planning your next visit even before you’ve finished your meal. So, gather your friends and family and head over to Peppermint for a taste of Korea that you won’t soon forget!
