FOC Restaurant

FOC Restaurant

FOC Restaurant on Hong Kong Street brought a piece of Barcelona to Singapore back in September 2014! It's an experience rather than merely a restaurant. It is located at a cool, revamped shop house with room for 78 folks.

Think 'Porrons' transformed into hip lights, artistic 'Sagrada Familia' wall decals, and amusing 'Correfoc' (Catalan fire-run) installations in the form of enormous skulls. The establishment is lined with banquette seating, and there is a unique bar counter with 14 seats that is lit by lamps that were specially created from pepper grinders.

The best thing, though? The layout of the open kitchen. It's like a cooking competition! You get to see the chefs and mixologists working together to prepare delicious cuisine and cocktails in front of you.

The cuisine combines classic tapas with whimsically modern dishes made by chefs Nandu Jubany and Juanjo Carrillo, both of whom have received Michelin stars. Image Credit: FOC Restaurant Facebook Page

Humpback

Humpback

The busy centre of Singapore's Chinatown is home to the welcoming seafood restaurant and wine bar known as Humpback. Finding the highest-quality ingredients from all over the world is an endeavour they truly dedicate themselves to.

Since it was opened in 2015, Humpback has become a popular destination for both residents and tourists. However, they made the decision to make some changes in March 2023. They devised a novel approach to cooking, fusing European methods with a touch of Japanese inspiration.

It's nice that they collaborate closely with the Hama Hama Oyster Company on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Oysters are therefore as fresh as they possibly can be, travelling just 36 hours from the farm to your plate.

Not to mention their wide range of wine options. It's simple to choose the ideal wine to go with your seafood journey at Humpback in Singapore with over 60 labels to pick from. Image Credit: Humpback Facebook Page
