Father's Day came to Singapore from the West and is celebrated on the same date as in the US and UK – the third Sunday in June. If you are from the southern hemisphere such as Australia it falls on the First Sunday of September. Go figure. There is no real explanation for this - or is there? Fat Cow presents a special set lunch ($99++) featuring one of their most succulent cuts, the Miyazaki Wagyu Steak – simply prepared to perfectly highlight its tender texture and rich flavour. To make this the perfect indulgence for beef connoisseurs, pair this with their signature Fat Rice where carefully rendered fat from wagyu beef trimmings are tossed with fluffy high quality Japanese rice, hand-minced dried kelp and truffle oil. The spread also features dishes such as Karei Nitsuke which features righteye flounder simmered in a broth of soy sauce, sake and mirin. While the special set lunch is available only for dine-in, those who prefer to celebrate at home will still have indulgent Fat Cow options as their signature mains, donburis, ready-to-cook sets and drinks are available for takeaway and delivery.

Indulge in The Gyu Bar’s delectable Hibiki Whisky-Marinated Wagyu Yakiniku ($75) this Father’s Day. Specially curated for the most important man in our lives, Wa Oh wagyu from Kumamoto is immaculately prepared to satisfy and tantalise the taste buds. 120g of kainomi is sliced and marinated in Hibiki Harmony for 24 hours, infusing the rich flavours of the Japanese whisky into the premium black wagyu. Each serving is complemented with a side of refreshing greens.

Pamper dad with Gordon Grill’s exclusive Father’s Day menus, available for both lunch and dinner. For lunch (3-course/$78++ per person, 4-course/$88++ per person), savour tapas from a selection that includes Argentinian red prawn cocktail and cherry tomato. Then, move on to a warm, comforting soup of either Lobster bisque or Wild mushroom velouté. The main course is a choice of Slow-roasted prime ribeye on wagon, Baked sea perch fillet or Slow-cooked duck leg confit. End the meal with an irresistible dessert. The 5-course dinner menu ($108++) includes an additional warm appetiser, with a main course of either US beef tenderloin or Baked sea perch fillet.

Enjoy a taste of Italy in the comfort of home with starters and pastas such as pan-seared foie gras and Alaskan king crab linguine. For dads who like it shaken and stirred, Kinki Restaurant + Bar offers a range of Kinki x CIN CIN cocktails. Feast on unique cocktails made using foundational techniques woven with Asian influences. Made with butterfly pea-infused Kyro gin, cucumber syrup, fresh lime juice and grapefruit & rosemary tonic, the Aurora Polaris ($19++*/$48+) is picture-perfect for that Instagram shot.
