After being picked up from your Margaret River hotel, meet your guide and small group of no more than 10 people in time for a 9.30am departure. Traveling by air-conditioned minivan, set out to explore the lush landscapes of the Margaret River wine region as your guide offers an overview of the area.

The first stop of the day is at the Yahava Koffee Works, where you’ll have chance to get your caffeine fix with a range of teas and coffees to sample. Taste both Australian and international coffee beans, and listen as your guide explains the art of brewing the perfect coffee.

Continue along the coast, stopping to snap photos of Prevelly Beach, a surf hotspot where the annual Margaret River pro surfing competition is held. Then, visit a local winery to taste a variety of biodynamic wines, accompanied by a selection of free-range smoked meats.

Pause for a leisurely lunch at either the Fishbone or Vasse Felix winery, where you’ll enjoy a wine tasting, followed by a delicious lunch and a glass of your favorite wine.

With your appetite sated, stop by Ngilgi Cave to learn more about Australia’s fascinating Aboriginal heritage before taking a tour of the Yallingup Shearing Shed. Here, you’ll have chance to sample local artisan products including handicrafts made from Australian wool, natural olive oil skin products, and tasty organic foods.

Finally, visit a local brewery (depending on the season) for a refreshing beer or ale, and gain an insight into Australia’s growing craft beer scene.

After a full day sampling the delights of the Margaret River region, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 7.30pm.

We loved everything about this tour! It is well thought out and made for an incredible experience for both the "locals" from Perth and those on our tour from interstate.

So much wine, so much food, and an inside look at the wine making processes of the Margaret River Region. Stunning area of WA and a beautiful day out!?

It was refreshing to get an insiders view of the Margaret River region. We started the day off with a coffee tasting (be careful not to burn your tongue!) and gained a lot of knowledge from the coffee roaster himself.

We then moved onto the beautiful Arlewood Estate where Paris took us for a walk around the fields to show us what she was working on lately - we then went back to the cellar door and enjoyed a wine tasting in the beautiful garden setting (highly recommend!).

We moved on to a wine and meat pairing at McHenry Hohnen which was delicious and then ended up at Xanadu for another tasting and a 3 course lunch. While the lunch came out slowly it was absolutely scrumptious! The rest of the afternoon we enjoyed a few more wine tastings with matched cheeses, chocolate tastings and ended with a visit to a local brewery.

All in all, a fabulous day and Clarice was an amazing host! Would recommend and would do again and again. Thanks for a fabulous day out!!

My wife and I booked at fairly short notice for a full day tour on 20 Sept 2018 - pickup from our hotel at Yallingup at 9.15am drop back close to 6pm.

Steve Hayman is a lively and informative guide, kept us entertained and did a great job of introducing us to the food and wine of the area. He has a good knowledge too, of local environmental issues. Highly recommended.
