Vogue Singapore Appoints Desmond Lim as Editor-in-Chief

Vogue Singapore, which is published under a license agreement between Condé Nast and Media Publishares, announces the appointment of Desmond Lim as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Singapore. The 27th edition of the global fashion authority launched in Singapore in 2020 with Lim having helmed the role of fashion director.

As fashion director at Vogue Singapore, Lim has played a key role in setting the vision and tone for the brand. His keen interest in captivating visuals and using technology to elevate storytelling has resulted in some of Vogue Singapore’s most immersive editorials and prominent covers. In addition, Lim has helped to grow the Vogue brand offline through a curation of engaging experiences and events for Vogue’s readers and has also been a pivotal player in identifying local talent and elevating them to a global stage.

Prior to Vogue, Lim has had two decades of experience as fashion director and editor at luxury publications such as Prestige Magazine and Singapore Tatler.

I am thrilled to be assuming the role of Editor-in-Chief at Vogue Singapore where I will continue to explore the integral connection between fashion, culture, and technology”, says Lim. “Vogue Singapore having been established at the intersection of fashion and innovation; I remain eager to uncover creative solutions and unique perspectives by exploring fashion in the digital age whilst balancing the emotion that fashion and beautiful imagery evokes.

Desmond Lim will lead the editorial team alongside deputy editor of Vogue Singapore, Amelia Chia, who will continue to manage editorial operations of the magazine closely with section editors.

Vogue Singapore is confident that with Lim's unique creative vision and market expertise, combined with Chia's editorial leadership, will continue to elevate Vogue Singapore's position as a respected and influential voice in the industry. Lim’s first issue as Editor-in-Chief will be issue twenty, launching March 2023.
