Each three-minute episode of 'Towkay Tok,' hosted by Singtel Singapore's Deputy CEO and CEO of company Development, Ms. Anna Yip, explores these company leaders' entrepreneurial paths. Discussed are their challenges, techniques for overcoming them, and motivations. All episodes emphasise how Singtel's connection offerings transformed these enterprises.
Ms. Yip emphasises the importance of 5G, unified communications, the IoT, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions in company growth and innovation. Singtel hopes these real-life success stories will encourage future entrepreneurs and highlight the importance of digital solutions in scaling businesses. On Singtel's TikTok and Instagram, the in-house 'Towkay Tok' series is available. Annette Lee (main image), a singer-songwriter, comedian, playwright, and YouTuber, discussed taking chances and using technology to create a distinctive profession in the first episode. Lee said social media and digital connectivity had helped her develop her creativity.
New episodes feature local business leaders monthly. Future episodes will feature Ivan Heng, Founder and Artistic Director of WILD RICE, a leading professional theatre company and registered charity; Ryan Chioh, Managing Director of Far East Flora, Singapore's top florist; and Jason Ng, Executive Director of Swee Heng Bakery, a beloved bakery chain that has grown from one shop in 1989 to over 70 outlets across Singapore.
Ms. Yip and NTUC Secretary-General Mr. Ng Chee Meng spoke in a special episode celebrating Singtel's cooperation with the NTUC. This episode discusses how the cooperation will teach NTUC's 1.3 million members how to succeed in a changing digital world.
