Maison Telmont's innovative release of Réserve de la Terre marks the next step in the evolution of Champagne. This cuvée represents the pinnacle of sustainable luxury, made entirely from organic grapes with no herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or synthetic fertilisers. Telmont stands out as a daring pioneer in organic viticulture in the Champagne area, where only a small number of vines use organic procedures.
Their three-year-old "In the Name of Mother Nature" campaign strives to safeguard soil vitality and biodiversity, guaranteeing that each bottle of Réserve de la Terre contributes to excellent quality and environmental responsibility.
The production method for Réserve de la Terre demonstrates how sustainability and excellent craftsmanship can coexist. By avoiding the use of synthetic ingredients, Telmont guarantees that its grapes grow naturally, reflecting the terroir's purity and brightness. This extra-brut champagne, with a sugar content of only 2.5 grammes per litre, captures the spirit of the vineyard, allowing the land's distinct vitality and character to show through each bottle.
The blend, a precise combination of three great years—2020, 2019, and 2018—and three grape varieties—Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir—creates a cuvée that is both dazzling and vibrant. Aged in the cellar for three years, this wine expertly blends freshness and ripeness, sharpness and depth, providing a sensory experience that goes beyond the ordinary.
The Réserve de la Terre is more than just champagne; it is a declaration of organic greatness. The organic conversion of Telmont's vineyards is a victory for both the environment and the art of winemaking, reaffirming the conviction that respecting nature leads to better flavour.
Bertrand Lhôpital, Telmont's cellar master and driving force behind this project, is pleased with the result, characterising the cuvée as "radiant, luminous, and full of life." Leonardo DiCaprio, an investor in Maison Telmont, shares this perspective, describing the wine as "the taste of the future," a celebration of organic farming's advantages to both the earth and the wine.
Réserve de la Terre is available at Singapore's premier restaurants, including Bayside, Telmont's flagship bar, and Open Farm Community, a restaurant noted for its emphasis on sustainability. Telmont's achievement proves that embracing organic processes does not imply sacrificing excellence, but rather takes the entire champagne experience to new heights.
