Did you ever imagine yourself uttering the words "I want the slut please?" Expat Choice has taken steps to take a peek at the first Singapore outlet for the famed LA-based chain - Eggslut.

Expect fluffy brunch-friendly scrambled egg sandwiches which have launched a thousand and one Instagram posts and become a huge hit on social media - literally overnight.

There’s a cage-free egg in almost everything on Eggslut’s menu. Be prepared to wait a little for your scrambled egg sluts here. The eggs are slow-cooked to order in batches, which takes about five to seven minutes each time.

The Fairfax Sandwich (S$12) is a beautiful, creamy option that barely holds together even with both hands. The ingredients includes  cage-free and soft-scrambled eggs - made to perfection with a generous amount of butter, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, chives and a smear of sriracha mayo on the buns for a bit of heat.

If you’re looking for something lighter than a sandwich, the Slut is a petite glass jar of house-made potato puree, topped with a coddled egg - also cage-free, and imported from Japan. It’s finished with grey salt and chives, and served with thin slices of toasted baguette, a la eggs and soldiers.

Eggslut started out as a humble food truck in Los Angeles in 2011, before they gained fame for their burgers, loaded with signature creamy scrambled eggs. They’re now found in Korea, Japan, the UK, and Kuwait, with Singapore being their very first Southeast Asian outpost.

Eggslut opens on Thursday 9 September at Scotts Square and open 8 am to 10 pm daily.
