In a significant move, conservation-driven luxury travel business &Beyond has announced its latest venture, the &Beyond Galapagos Explorer, a 38-meter (124-foot) adventure vessel in the legendary Galapagos Islands. The organisation, known for its commitment to responsible tourism, wants to provide its guests with an exclusive and immersive experience while also helping to preserve this unique ecosystem.

The Galapagos Explorer will travel on two unique seven-night journeys, touring both the eastern and western sections of the Galapagos Islands. With only six suites and cabins, the yacht accommodates a maximum of 12 passengers each departure, ensuring an intimate atmosphere. Each journey will be led by two expert guides, which will enhance the expedition's educational value.

Joss Kent, Executive Chairman & CEO of &Beyond, is excited about the expansion, citing the Galapagos as a natural choice due to its incredible biodiversity. The Ecuadorian government's attempts to limit operating licences have protected the islands from overtourism, which is consistent with &Beyond's commitment to responsible travel.

The Galapagos Explorer, which is now undergoing interior renovations, boasts a high guest-to-staff ratio, making it the most exclusive yacht operating in the islands. The yacht has huge indoor and outdoor areas, four excellent rooms, and two luxury suites, providing a spectacular yet environmentally responsible travel experience.

The Galapagos Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1878, have 18 main islands and a varied diversity of flora and wildlife, including famous species such as giant tortoises and marine iguanas. &Beyond's conservation initiatives go beyond tourism, with ambitions to implement its Care of Land, People, and Wildlife ethos via the Oceans Without Borders initiative. The company intends to analyse and implement projects that promote the islands' unique wildlife.

The Galapagos Explorer operates on two 7-night itineraries, offering tourists the option of exploring the east or west, with highlights including the Kicker Rock formation and encounters with unique species. Rates for a 7-night cruise start at USD 10,950 per person sharing, which aligns with &Beyond's commitment to providing value while protecting the environment.

&Beyond's Galapagos Explorer combines luxury travel with responsible tourism, providing a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discover the marvels of the Galapagos Islands while helping to preserve them. This expedition boat will embark on its first voyage on June 17, 2024, for individuals looking for a unique and instructive adventure.
