Your reporter has had a consistent away from home experience, and totally comfortable stay at Hotel Stellar when I am in Sydney. The location is excellent just a stone's throw away for all public transport, train, buses and light rail - in Wentworth Avenue, across from Hyde Park, at the very bottom of Oxford Street where the LGBTQI+ bars and clubs thrived in the early 2000s and still today there is some colour and movement although more sophisticated in its delivery.
You can walk into the centre of the City - Westfield Towers, David Jones, and all the name brands you expect on a High Street and shop until you drop, but do remember Sydney shopping experiencers tend to close early by 6pm Monday to Friday. So, if you are coming for Europe, or Asia this can be a little challenging. But maybe your visit to Sydney is not about shopping but sightseeing - this is when you must book your Big Bus tours
Hotel Stellar also offers the most amazing Cafe. The breakfasts, coffee and service are second to none. I recommend the Egg and Bacon on Toasted Turkish bread - butter of course, I am hooked on this naughty carbo hit. The Coffee is prepared and served to perfection. I am not just saying this for brownie points - It is REALLY good coffee. They have plenty of menu items for breakfast Brunch and Lunch - and as things open up again after the pandemic - expect to enjoy a wine bar feel in the early hours of the evening - as it was for so many years before 2020. Other delicious items to choose from include the popular Breakfast Wrap - you will know what I mean when you try on, and eggs any style, even the breakfast burger for the hearty fix.
Hotel Stellar is boutique - I would even go as far as saying LUXE - although it is so extremely affordable - I'll put this thought in your mind - Why "do" the bigger brand hotel experiences when you can have a "home like" comfy stay with a serviced apartment feel at Hotel Stellar.
This place is a hidden gem
All of CBD’s major attractions including Darling Harbour, Chinatown, the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are easily accessible and within walking distance. For your convenience, the central Museum Underground Railway Station is less than 300 metres away from the hotel’s doorstep.

The 2 Bedroom Apartment Suite - pictured below, is newly renovated suite with 2 bathrooms. Bedding is either a King bed or 2 single beds in the Main bedroom with ensuite and either King bed or 2 x single beds in the second bedroom. Guests can choose either king beds or single beds on request at least one day prior to your arrival date. Then, after a day exploring or conducting business, relax in the large lounge, dining combined area with comfortable sofas while catching up on local news.
