Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant has brought on-board two culinary veterans — Executive Sichuan Chef Dave Lai and Master Dim Sum Chef Lu Shi Qian — at its PARKROYAL on Beach Road outlet, established in 1996 and renowned for its authentic Sichuan cuisine.
Helming the kitchen, Chef Dave brings with him 24 years of culinary experience in top restaurants around the world. He honed his craft at renowned establishments in Germany and China, including at the Hamburg Kempinski, and cooked for global heads of state including former Chinese President Hu Jintao and two former US Presidents - George Bush and George Bush Senior. Hailing from Chengdu, Chef Dave is excited to push the boundaries of Sichuan cooking while retaining its essence.
Standing at the crossroads between tradition and modernity, Chef Dave, 41, is poised to elevate the face of Sichuan cuisine in Singapore. Diners can look forward to his refreshing creations such as the nutritious Double-boiled Soup with Minced Meat and Crab Meat, aromatic Black Truffle Fried Rice, luxurious Braised.

Sharing a similar culinary ethos, Master Dim Sum Chef Lu Shi Qian is coming back stronger after further honing his skills in China for the past 8 years. Chef Lu is no stranger to the Singapore culinary scene. When he was with Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant between 2002 and 2009, he was often featured on media to share his passion and recipes.
A Guangzhou native with more than 30 years of experience under his belt, Chef Lu enjoys the freedom of creativity and artistry in dim sum making and relishes in bringing a lifelike spirit to his creations.
