Supperman Speakeasy & Grill encourage customers to start their dinner with Supperman’s Great Start which comes with freshly charcoal-grilled Focaccia, served with Beef Love Butter and a tasting portion of our House Wine. Another starter we loved was the Roma Tomato Salad comprising of House-Made Ricotta, Chickpea Puffs, Herb Garni and Chimichurri.
Heads up! a couple of well-rounded starters to also consider include the Smoked Camembert, a Caramelised Poached Pear, Hazelnut Dukkah, Maple Nectar, with a hint of Burnt Rosemary, and the Charred Leek. This simple yet effective Purée of Leek is wonderfully articulated with crispy capers. Now this is a mouthful you will not forget in a hurry.
For mains, the Argentinian Black Angus Ribeye Steak served with a delectable umami Anchovy Butter is nothing short of sensational. Another generous cut is the Angus Top Blade topped with Chimichurri and Grilled Corn. Alternatives to Supperman's steaks menu include the Open-Fire Crayfish - Garlic Butter Basted and served with a Lemon and Herb Butter Dip, and Supperman’s tender Grilled Half Chicken.
I must admit though, my number one standout is the Lamb Shank. It is one of those dishes you can stack up against past Shank experiences, but this was something quite out of the ordinary. The delicious Lamb Jus and Red Pepper Reduction sets this dish apart from many which have come before. You will not be disappointed, well, the only disappointment is you will not get the secret herbs and spices recipe that makes this shank a standout!.
