Chef Akane Eno shares her memories of comfort food at Ichigo Ichie

For Mother’s Day, Chef Akane Eno shares her memories of comfort food from her mother’s kitchen with her rendition of the crab cream croquette. Young Akane and her parents often marked celebrations with memorable meals at home or by dining out at restaurants. Her mother’s home-cooked meals rarely featured fried food unless it was for a special occasion, as frying food often required much effort from preparation to clean up.

From 3 to 14 May 2022, Chef Eno marks Mother’s Day at Ichigo Ichie with a special croquette featuring kegani from Hokkaido in the dinner menu. For lunchtime guests, the croquette is available as a top-up from the regular hot dish with a supplement of $15++.

Chef Eno’s kegani crab cream croquette features a beautiful combination of sweet kegani crab meat and luscious bechamel sauce made with creamy Échiré butter. Crab and bechamel are shaped and coated with panko made with sweet and milky bread from Kamome Bakery, and fried until beautifully golden. The croquette is served on a rich sauce made with crab and crab miso.

This Mother’s Day, savour Chef Eno’s tribute to her mother’s love at Ichigo Ichie.

  • Lunch is available as a 5-course menu at $138++ per person and a 7-course menu at $188++ per person.
  • Dinner is available as a 9-course menu at $350++ per person, or as 9 courses at $428++ per person with a specially curated menu upon request.
