Co-owners Kevin Ly, formerly of Brewristas, and Christian Lee have drawn inspiration from the venue’s floral past to shape its future, infusing the dream-like dining room with echoes of its origins—bold art deco paintings, lavish French floristry, and exquisite pink marble finishes. Everywhere you look, pieces of art and culture adorn their Darlinghurst sanctuary. The name Mayflower pays homage to the historical ship that carried pilgrims from England to the US in search of religious freedom. In this spirit, Mayflower celebrates the pilgrims’ fortitude, courage, and quest for liberty, symbolizing owners Kevin Ly and Christian Lee’s journey towards their vision for the cafe.
