Naga House
Did someone say “Japanese-inspired cafe”? That’s right. Naga House is one of the very few cafes in Singapore with a Japanese twist. Well known as a cafe by day and a bar by night, they have everything a coffee enthusiast can hope for and more. They have the classic Double Espresso shot if you’re looking for a jolt first thing in the morning.
Either that or you can call for the White Cold Brew for a slight deviation from the usual caffeine trip. It’s okay if you’re trying to get off caffeine; caffeine-free options are plenty with delightful beverages like the Iced Matcha Latte and the Hot Hojicha. Pair your drink up with their signature Triple Tamago sandwich which consists of roasted garlic egg mayo, ramen egg, omelette, roasted garlic butter and brioche with dijon mayo. Tasty, isn’t it? Ground Floor Coffee
The name says it all. Ground Floor Coffee is literally coffee from the window of the ground floor HDB flat. No matter what your preference, the barista here has it all covered. We’re talking beverages like piping hot, yet comforting lavender lattes and dark mocha with hot and iced variations depending upon your mood. The best part is that they serve a mouth watering slice of freshly baked and super decadent burnt sugar cake to go perfectly well with the coffee. Image Credit: Eat Book

Stack
If you’re like me, you like your sandwiches cramped with veggies, eggs, cheese, meat and all the sauces you can possibly think of. For people like us who like to indulge in gluttony, Stack is the place to be. Over and above their delicious savoury options, they also have dishes perfect for your sugar craving. Go for their buttermilk waffles with a dollop of creamy soft serve ice cream. We recommend the brown butter kaya soft serve flavour, which is reminiscent of the iconic kaya butter toast.
