I have become a Haubis fan so I pack my freezer to the brim with loaves, baguettes, rolls and ciabatta.

Much to my envy Food Panda and Grab are now delivering Haubi’s bread if you live within the general Upper Bukit Timah area….and sadly, I am nowhere near there.

So to you lucky ones who live in that vicinity and have never tried Haubi’s bread, it’s like having a personal baker right at your doorstep. Take advantage of this convenience and put an order in, even if it's just to sample a few varieties.

My favourite still has to be the sunflower seed rolls and ciabatta that make for yummy garlic bread. The sesame buns are good for when plans are afoot for a burger dinner and the crusty loaf, when a mighty big pot of stew or soup are the plan of the day.

Friends have tried the Laugen sticks too and love them!

So easy to use from freezer to oven this has to be the shortest cut to having breakfast in Europe!

The laugen Sticks are so yummy! The texture and flavour are as good as pretzels in Germany. My daughter loves the Kaiser rolls too, crispy skin and soft fluffy center. The Gluten Free version Kaiser roll is wonderful too, very light and soft, unlike most gluten free breads with densed heavy chewy texture. Highly recommend to all bread lovers. We are hooked!

I usually have 3 fruits for breakfast. Since my wife got us some Haubis bread she insisted I try the ciabatta which is a best seller at Haubis (I found out later).
I had ciabatta for breakfast daily until it ran out. It was simply delicious. So easy to bake from freezer to oven. I felt like I was in a Boulangerie in Europe.

Haubis bread is available online! No need to panic that food supplies might run out. Just order your loaves and bread rolls, baguettes and pretzels with no fuss and no worry!

In this time of Covid-19 so many households globally worry about lockdowns and the shortage of food. Thankfully we live in Singapore where measures have been taken ahead of time to counter this fear.

However some (like me) may still feel they’d like to have a freezer with some food ready for consumption when needed. Well I am ever so grateful that Haubis bakery products which are organic and superior in quality, are available in raw frozen packs.

I got some Kaizer and sunflower rolls for one person consumption. When taken out at the last minute from the freezer I baked them for 5-6 minutes in the oven.

Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside I proceeded to add dollops of butter on the warm rolls allowing them to melt while I brewed some coffee. Simply scrumptious!

If I am not rushing in the morning I leave the rolls outside to defrost then toast to my liking. My preference is crunchy on the outside which is how bread is baked for serving in Europe. Divine!

Albert, owner of Haubis in Singapore mentioned that the top quality organic flour used to bake his bread varieties is usually safe even for those who prefer gluten free (unless you are celiac).

Most people like me, have been told to avoid gluten products. That’s because the quality of flour they use causes problems for the gut. Having eaten a lot of Haubis breads I feel the difference.

If you have a family and would rather buy loaves, Haubis also sell crusty, whole meal and Swiss loaves. Not only are they delicious, I feel I am eating bread that is from Europe without having to fly there.

European bread right on our doorstep in Singapore. Why wouldn’t I take advantage of it? Highly convenient for people like me who love bread especially when it’s freshly baked.

When I entertain a group of friends I put a loaf in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes just before I plan to serve dinner. If you want it crusty, leave it for 20 minutes. I could eat the whole loaf myself!

Baguettes come in multigrain and olive varieties. My favourites actually when I have friends over for bites with drinks. They make for great bruschetta and other hors d’oeuvres.

I am sure you know the value of having an online alternative for food staples like bread. With so many varieties to choose from and the amazing convenience of Haubis delivering directly to my door, what else can I ask for?
