Sing’theatre is back! This time with the longest-running off-Broadway musical showcasing modern relationships acted in a variety of short skits. Playing at the Aliiance Francaise till the 30 April 2023, I would suggest purchasing your tickets soon, as I envisage a sold-out crowd once word gets around.

I was engaged from the word go. The opening act where boy meets girl on Tinder being a common way to meet these days. Tracing relationships of today, where functionalities get in the way, some making it and others not.

Laughter continued even at the end at a funeral hall where the most bizarre thought of meeting someone, becomes reality. Most in the audience laughed loud as they related to revues, sung and acted by four very talented actors.

Playing so many different characters in each revue, the clever dialogue was so relatable. I loved one scene in particular where a relatively new divorcee records her introduction video on Tinder to secure dates. She had had enough and was ready to start the search again. It got us cracking up.

So witty! Be ready for a night to let your hair down, sink in to your seat and laugh all the way. You will recognise some aspects of this exploration for love and happiness.

I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE!
