Saturday Night Fever 40th Anniversary Screening Sat 9 Dec 8:30pm

Published - 09 January 2018, Tuesday

Disco never dies.

This weekend we look back at 40 years of Saturday Night Fever flared pants, disco balls and coordinated finger stabbing.

Every Saturday Tony puts on his wide collared shirt, flared trousers and platform shoes and heads out to the only place where he's seen as a god rather than some young punk.

Away from the strobe lights and glitter ball though, Tony's story as a Brooklyn paint store clerk becomes one of tragic disillusionment, violence and heartbreak.

Dress up for this special 40th Anniversary screening and burn up the dance floor at a wicked post-show DISCO helmed by DJ Bobby Luo!

Nothing better than a good dose of Disco. John Travolta is the man and he gets me every time I see this film. It's such a classic and to see it on the big screen will be a treat...The Projector is also a classic cinema here in Singapore. Please share your suggestions when it comes to good films playing this week in Singers

This is one of my all-time favourite films. I remember when it was released many years ago - I think I was about 15 years old and it really made an impact on my life. This guy Danny was so cool back in the day. His moves were revolutionary to me. I expect this was the turning point to when I decided I wanted to go out to clubs and dance and drink and have fun...those were the days....
