This Humid House (THH), a premier botanical design studio, is excited to offer its inaugural public event, "Soft Power." This one-of-a-kind and interactive encounter will take place on Wednesday 6 March, 2024, in the Chamber of the Arts House and will be hosted by famous florist and educator Wagner Kreusch.
"Soft Power" is a performance, educational demonstration, and open conversation about the symbolic language of plants and flowers, particularly in the context of diplomacy. This compelling event will highlight the storytelling possibilities of botanical art in a historically significant setting, encouraging attendees to interact with the flowers in new and meaningful ways.
Participants will be able to directly participate in the building of a stunning botanical installation alongside Wagner Kreusch. Dominic Khoo, popularly known as OFTRT, a Singapore-based electronic music producer and sound artist, will provide a live musical score to boost the creative process. Khoo's unique approach combines melodic soundscapes with fascinating, glitchy rhythms to create an immersive environment for the event.
Following the two-hour creative session, the audience will be able to participate in a Q&A session with the presenters. Questions can be sent online throughout the event, making it an interactive and interesting experience for all attendees.
