La Salsa

Lulu’s Lounge
An upscale, 1960’s New York-styled nightlife lounge, Lulu’s prides itself on numerous musical acts, including retro DJ performances, burlesque star guests, live jazz, funk & soul, as well as rock, house, hip-hop & R&B. Music lovers of all genres, this is the place to go. Open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Lulu’s has both a dance floor and an outdoor terrace area to accommodate whatever you may be in the mood for. Self-proclaimed Southern kitchen & bourbon bar, The Beast Café & Bar is the perfect place to head if you’re the sort that loves open mic night. Every Thursday, everyone from experienced singers to amateurs and those just looking for a bit of fun are all invited to display their talent for the other punters gathered. Try their Char-Grilled Rib-Eye Steak while you’re there, and perhaps one of their XXXL cocktails containing an entire bottle of wine, which are “perfect for 8 friends or 6 alcoholics” (their words, not mine).
Hard Rock Café
Needing no introduction, but worth a mention nonetheless, Hard Rock Café is always a place you can visit for guaranteed good food, delicious drinks and plethora of music acts and events to keep you entertained. Cool Cats
Featuring live music acts which include jazz, blues and R&B in a 1920’s style ambience, Cool Cats also hosts international acts which bring in the music aficionados. Musicians who have performed at Cool Cat include Janine Anice, Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys, as well as James Morrison who performed for two nights in July 2019. In addition to the impressive lineup of musical acts, Cool Cat has a range of 14 new signature cocktails dedicated to jazz, including By the Mississippi Railway, the Boogie Woogie, and the East St. Louis Toodle-oo, for you to sip on while you tap your feet to the irresistible rhythms.
Maduro
Situated in Dempsey Hill, Maduro is run by Peter Ng, a former jazz pianist. His love of all things jazz is clearly evident in the musical acts he regularly hosts, which includes a selection of Singapore’s most talented jazz artists. If you like to spend your evenings listening to some soothing tunes in a warm & welcoming lounge, a visit to Maduro is a must.
Barber Shop by Timbre

Barber Shop by Timbre embodies the phrase “If music be the food of love, play on”. A venue dedicated to live music, musical acts including funk, jazz, blues and salsa all take center stage here. They have resident musicians performing every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a number of other bands and artists who perform for single events. In addition to some fantastic live music, you can enjoy their different promotions for different nights of the week to add to the experience.
Hood Bar & Café
An art-themed live music bar, Hood Bar & Café features the best local talent in live music performances. Live bands play every night, while customers come by to enjoy genres such as EDM, rock, soul and even Mando or Canto pop music. Enjoy a range of nibbles as you happily pass the time.
Crazy Elephant

Crazy Elephant has been around for more than two decades and has even hosted Deep Purple on their stage. Hosting live music acts every night as well as happy hours every evening, Crazy Elephant is an extremely popular spot for music lovers to wind down with a drink and while away an evening. Their Crazy Elephant Jam Session runs every Sunday from 8 p.m. till late a perfect wind-down for your Sunday night as you prepare for the week to come.
Acid Bar

Singers, songwriters, cover bands and more – Acid Bar has live music every night of the week. Live performances start at 8:30 p.m. (except Fridays & Saturdays when it begins at 7 p.m.) and if you get there early enough (happy hour starts at 5) you can fit in some happy hour drinks. Acid Bar also believes in rewarding their patrons, resulting in $58 for 6 shots and $88 for 12 shots all night long.
