Village Hotel Sentosa (VHS) by Far East Hospitality, a family-friendly hotel located within idyllic Sentosa island, has officially reopened its doors, offering a bevy of new and interactive experiences that will allow children to learn and develop new skills through play.
From a brand new mini hotelier experience that will provide children with the opportunity to try out different professions to meet and greet sessions with the hotel’s adorable mascots, and an array of activities and workshops, the new experiences have been specially curated to nurture the little ones’ imagination and ensure they have a truly memorable time.
To celebrate their reopening, VHS is launching a Village Playcation package that will allow guests to experience the hotel’s new offerings including a two-night stay in a Family Room, choice of one mini hotelier experience, unlimited access to Playtivities and more.
To welcome the little ones, the hotel is unveiling a warm village welcome at the lobby, where children will be greeted with scrumptious treats and fun activities. Step back in time at the Village Cart, which offers guests a glimpse into every Singaporean’s childhood. Boasting a wide variety of sweets and biscuits such as Khong Guan biscuits, muruku, haw flakes and White Rabbit candy, guests can look forward to indulging in a taste of the ‘80s with these old-school snacks.
Other notable highlights include a balloon sculpting booth; free flow ice cream and popcorn; as well as meet and greet sessions with the hotel’s adorable mascots – Village Explorers: Vin and Vee. The duo were introduced to inspire young guests to be brave and curious explorers who would be open and keen to try out new experiences.
Offered as part of the Village Playcation package, Mini Hotelier has been conceptualised to nurture the little ones’ imagination and creativity and expose them to new experiences. Children can pick from five different experiences: Mini Artist, Mini Housekeeper, Mini Engineer, Mini Chef and Mini Gardener.
The Mini Chef experience, offered in partnership with Doughworks by Commonwealth Concepts, aims to use culinary arts as a medium to achieve a combination of instructional, experiential and educational learning. Children will be immersed in fun and fully interactive activities like decorating their own cupcakes and cookies, while learning how to identify the different kitchen equipment used for cooking and baking, as well as the different ingredients used in preparing their bakes.
Children who love nature and being outdoors will enjoy the Mini Gardener experience, which will allow them to either create a botanical pouch or engage in a potting activity. Offered in collaboration with Edible Garden City, the experience will also include a multi-sensory tour of the hotel’s edible garden, where children will get to touch, smell and taste a variety of edible plants.
Alternatively, Mini Artist and Mini Engineer are great options for those who wish to hone their creativity and imagination. The former will offer a workshop to teach kids how to draw and create their own artworks, while the latter, will educate children on the different types of tools an engineer often use and they will also be tasked to build things with Lego.
Mini Housekeeper, on the other hand, will impart children with crucial life skills like how to change a bed sheet, how to fold a shirt and more.
Regardless which experience they pick, these five unique experiences will no doubt give the little ones a chance to explore, develop new skills, express ideas and build relationships with others.
In addition to the new experiences, VHS will also offer a host of fun-filled activities that are bound to keep the entire family engaged and entertained during their stay. From family aqua zumba to movie screening, resin art, sand art and pilates for kids, the options are endless.
For those keen on exploring Sentosa, they can sign up for the family scavenger hunt, which will take guests to places around the island including Sentosa Nature Discovery and Imbiah Trail. Guests who prefer to stay in the hotel, they can look forward to a fun-filled time at the pool deck, offering different themed pool zones, lush gardens and outdoor spaces that have been designed for rest, recreation and quality bonding time.
Pools include the Children’s Play Pool, Lazy River Pool, Adventure Pool, and the Pamukkale Pool.
After a full day of activities, retreat to one of the Family Rooms, which have been configured to accommodate up to four adults or two adults and three children. Guests can pick from two family room types: Deluxe Family Room or Family Room – the former spans 44 square metres in floor area, while the latter is slightly cosier at 36 square metres.
The Family Room offers a Kids’ Pack which includes child bath amenities, bathrobe for children aged 3 to 6 years old and a Rubik’s cube, while the Deluxe Family Room will provide a Supersize Kids’ Pack, which comprises all the items that are included in the Kids’ Pack coupled with a Sentosa Adventure Book, welcome snacks, and kids’ tableware.
