Fares start from as low as 79 cents. You will need near to exact change as the bus driver will not give you change. If you are on a short stay in Singapore or if you are in fact an expat living and working in Singapore, it is best to organise an EZ Link Card and top up the credit frequently at Train stations or any 7/11 store across town. Tap and Pay is the best way to get around Singapore when it comes to the public transport system here.

Trains run from around 5:30am through to 12 Midnight. Tickets vary from $1.40 to $2.70. The train system is efficient and frequent. A map of the system can be obtained free of charge at the station attendants office
