An exclusively luxurious stay, I was at Sunway Resort to experience it's once-in-a-generation makeover. Stepping into the lobby, I already felt the opulence of gold and chandeliers gracing the entrance. Wow! Across from the lobby, I spotted the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. I was to have lunch there with a group of five other media.
With a fast check in we were ferried up to business suites that had just undergone massive renovations. The lift was swift. In a few seconds I was on Level 20 and opening the door of this rather grand suite. This was only Phase 1 comprising eight brand new rooms and suites.
Furnishings created in stylish tones, I felt a warm welcome made even more by a fruit basket and goodies at the mini bar. An additional alcove with business fittings including a printer which I thought was quite handy. Good thinking! Looking out the window I could see the entire Sunway City, deemed as Asia's leading fully-integrated premier hospitality and entertainment destination.
Taking a bit of a breather from the early flight I switched the TV on to watch how the Sunway Group emerged as winners, all from a vivid imagination of re-purposing wasteland. An incredible story indeed. Today I was enjoying the luxury of hard work put in behind the scenes.
I was on the Club floor where guests in these upper floors could enjoy extra privileges and breakfast at the newly opened Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. That would be a great way to start the day. I wondered if I would have the time to luxuriate in the bathtub with a 21 inch TV as my companion. Possibly after lunch at the exclusive Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill.
Starting at RM780+ including breakfast for two, this would be a great staycation option with or without kids. With a shopping mall and water theme park to keep all ages busy, some may choose to enjoy the delicious food downstairs and chill in the room. Whatever the case, Sunway Resort has it all.
I saw pride exuding from Senior GM of the Sunway Group, Alex Castaldi, for who wouldn’t want to be associated with such a premier name? With a 16,000-strong team committed to core businesses in real estate, construction, education, healthcare, retail and hospitality, this was a brand to be proud of.
We ventured a walk to the mall which was connected to Sunway Resort. So many amenities available within a minute’s walk. This was a great trip made even easier by Firefly and accessibility to Subang Airport, a 15-minute drive away. A hop, skip and jump from Singapore, this was indeed worth sharing.
