Hilton Singapore Orchard Unveils Kid - Friendly Experiences and Amenities for Unforgettable Family Stays

Hilton Singapore Orchard has introduced a range of new experiences specially curated for families with children, as the hotel looks to entice family travellers planning an urban getaway in the heart of Singapore. Located in the premier shopping and entertainment district of Orchard Road, Hilton Singapore Orchard enables families to explore within and around the hotel, with each experience thoughtfully crafted to encourage junior explorers and their parents to embark on an imaginative voyage of discovery and adventure together.

Pre-arrival Perks

Understanding the unique requirements of family travellers, Hilton Singapore Orchard offers Confirmed Connecting Rooms, an innovative solution that enables families to seamlessly book and instantly confirm at least two connecting rooms, ensuring families can plan their travels with ease and stay close together during their stay. Families also have access to a wide range of room categories in the 1,080-room Hilton Singapore Orchard, from the entry-level Deluxe Room to the Deluxe Suite, both of which offer the space and flexibility ideal for family travellers. 

To enhance the overall care and hospitality for families travelling with juniors in tow, the hotel has appointed Kids Ambassadors across every department, with the common purpose of creating an exceptional and unforgettable experience for guests aged below 12 years old throughout their stay. The Kids Ambassadors are trained to engage with families and provide friendly assistance with nearly everything needed for a smooth stay – from information on kids' amenities available within the hotel and family-friendly recommendations on Orchard Road and beyond to coordinating babysitting services and even wowing kids with tasty treats during mealtime.

A Warm Welcome

To captivate junior explorers throughout their stay, Hilton Singapore Orchard has partnered with Piqolo Kids, a local publisher and graphic illustrator specialising in creative storytelling for children, to create a range of specially designed amenities ranging from memorabilia to an activity book that inspires a sense of adventure amongst curious young minds. Upon arrival, families will be greeted by a friendly Kids Ambassador who will lead the junior guests to a dedicated kids check-in corner at the reception where they get the first-hand experience of filling in their own kids’ registration card.

During check-in, each family is presented with a welcome letter, a set of wooden keycards (the kids get their very own specially designed cards too), and a Hilton Singapore Orchard Junior Explorer Drawstring Bag for every child, the perfect companion for young adventurers and dreamers.  

Each bag contains everything an adventurous tot will need for an exceptionally good time – from a box of coloured pencils made from recycled wood to an origami set and a plush toy created from upcycled hotel staff uniforms by Kloth, a female-led social enterprise aimed at supporting women from impoverished and vulnerable communities. Also, in each bag is a Kid's Activity Book designed around the theme of “Discover the Marvels of Orchard Road”. Filled with puzzles, quizzes and colouring activities, junior explorers can enjoy hours of fun while learning about the past and present of Orchard Road and discovering the gems within and around the hotel.

Each child will also receive a set of kids’ bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries to enjoy during their stay, ensuring that even the youngest guests feel pampered and special. In addition, families can look forward to a delightful welcome in-room amenity of sweet treats. These personalised gestures and thoughtful touches strike the right tone with young VIPs from the get-go – engaging with them from their first moments in the hotel to ensure a fun and memorable stay.

Kids Service Menu

To make the most of their stay and draw inspiration for exciting things to do in and around the hotel, families can also look to the hotel’s new Kids Service Menu, which comprises a list of family-friendly itineraries curated in partnership with Asia’s leading travel and experiences platform Klook. Families staying at Hilton Singapore Orchard can access these specially curated itineraries and enjoy exclusive promotional deals booked through Klook.  

From immersive indoor activities like tufting workshops and art jamming sessions in Orchard Road to exciting outdoor adventures at Gardens By The Bay and Bird Paradise, there are multitudes of offerings to suit every family's idea of fun. There is also plenty of excitement that awaits within the hotel. Kids now have even more reason to enjoy a splashing good time at the hotel’s outdoor pool on Level Five, which now offers child-sized inflatable floats that the little ones can play with.

Kids-Friendly Gourmet Experiences

Mealtime should be fun and relaxing for the whole family. Hilton Singapore Orchard now features a more comprehensive dining programme designed for junior gourmands with the addition of more kid-friendly options across all meal periods at the hotel’s three dining outlets Estate, Ginger Lily, and Osteria Mozza, as well as room service. At the all-day buffet restaurant Estate, junior guests can enjoy a new dedicated kids’ corner that will offer a selection of everything a child fancies, such as muffins, donuts, and nourishing cereal for breakfast.

For the weekly Sunday Brunch affair, kids can relish an even wider spread of delicious treats and partake in a host of complimentary activities like painting and board games. All junior diners also receive specially designed placemats with engaging activities like colouring, adding an element of fun to their dining experience.

Over at Osteria Mozza by celebrity American chef Nancy Silverton, the restaurant invites young guests to put on their tiny chef hats in a new Junior Masterclass series that will be available every first Saturday of the quarter, with the first commencing on 14 October 2023. During each 1.5-hour masterclass, which is priced at $78++ per child, junior explorers will discover the delicious flavours of Italy and master the skills to prepare an authentic three-course Italian meal featuring dishes like Spaghetti & Meatballs and Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta.

Each junior master chef will also be provided with an apron and chef hat for the perfect photo opportunity as a master chef for the day and enjoy their homemade creations for lunch with juice or soft drinks included. The adults can also join in the fun with an additional top-up of $45++ per adult for a glass of champagne or cocktail with light canapés while waiting for their junior chefs to complete their masterclass.
