Published - 31 August 2021, Tuesday

The Touraine is a historic building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 13-story building was originally constructed in 1917 as a grand hotel. In 1983, it was converted into luxury apartments. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It was added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places on January 7, 1982.

The Touraine combines original architectural details with modern comforts. What once was a hotel, is now an apartment building with over one hundred units. Their studios all the way up to four bedroom apartments offer classic design with original details such as: hand-carved mantels, hardwood oak floors, original stained glass, and French doors. In the lobby and wide hallways, you’ll find handmade millwork done by local artisans, and places to sit and read books from our library. Video Credit: The Touraine Apartments
