The Clan Hotel Singapore by Far East Hospitality unveils The Clan Uncovers: The Art of Balance—a deeply immersive two-day, one-night cultural retreat designed to nurture harmony, mindfulness, and appreciation. Available until 31 December 2025 and starting from $788++, this exclusive stay experience draws inspiration from the timeless rituals of Chinese tea culture, blending traditional wellness with modern hospitality.

Created in collaboration with Fang by Tienji and QĪN Restaurant & Bar, the journey invites guests to slow down and reconnect—both with themselves and the rich cultural essence of Singapore.

The Clan Hotel

Rooted in the heritage district of Telok Ayer, this thoughtfully curated escape includes a 45-minute Yin Yoga session at Fang by Tienji, a community-driven sanctuary for mindful movement and creative expression. The session encourages deliberate, meditative movements, drawing parallels to the gentle artistry of tea brewing—promoting inner calm, balance, and flow.

Following the yoga practice, guests are guided through a serene tea appreciation experience paired with meditation. This mindful ritual immerses participants in the sensory elements of tea—its texture, aroma, temperature, and grace—transforming a simple act into a meditative exploration of presence, patience, and introspection.

The Clan Hotel

Culinary balance takes centre stage with a specially designed four-course Yin & Yang dinner at QĪN Restaurant & Bar. Each dish on the menu is a celebration of contrast and cohesion—creamy langoustine tartar meets crisp brioche, luxurious grilled Wagyu is paired with silky mash and piquant radish, while rich Balinese chocolate is offset by zesty passion fruit. This menu artfully translates the Yin-Yang philosophy into a fine dining experience that is both indulgent and enlightening.

Guests will enjoy an overnight stay in either the MASTER Series Premier or Grand Premier Room, where personalised in-room amenities—including a curated refreshment selection, handmade soaps, and bespoke turndown service—await. The presence of a dedicated Clan Keeper ensures every detail is thoughtfully attended to, creating a stay that feels intimate, luxurious, and rooted in meaning.

The Clan Hotel

Far more than just a hotel package, The Clan Uncovers: The Art of Balance is an invitation to rediscover stillness, heritage, and self. Ideal for those seeking a mindful escape, a cultural indulgence, or a meaningful staycation in Singapore, this experience embodies the true spirit of modern wellness grounded in tradition.

The Clan Hotel is one of those buildings you pass by in Singapore's heritage district, and you'd never guess what’s inside… and that's precisely the point. Step through the plain front doors and prepare for a complete transformation. The reception area is an impressive blend of grey stone and sleek black furniture, all set against floor-to-ceiling glass that seamlessly integrates the outside with the interior. It's minimalist without feeling cold, luxury without being flashy.

The rooms are beautiful. I’m talking about spacious bathrooms that feel like personal spas, high-quality accessories, and that same refined atmosphere that runs throughout the hotel. The Clan is also ideally located for exploring Singapore's rich heritage without the crowds of Orchard Road.

Forget those standard hotel check-ins with limp hand towels. The Clan greets you with a full tea ceremony performed by an actual tea master. Watching those serene, practised movements while sipping their signature house blend? That's how you know you're in a special place. It's theatrical without being cheesy, memorable without being gimmicky.

The staff here deserve their own praise. Hotel GM Joyce embodies the warm hospitality this place is known for: make a point to introduce yourself. The entire team seems genuinely excited to share stories about the area's history, making you feel less like a guest and more like a mate they're showing around their neighbourhood.

The infinity pool overlooking old Singapore is a true highlight of this hotel. Imagine yourself floating above the historic Telok Ayer district, taking in views that most locals never see. The adjacent gym features a life-size video screen showing hundreds of exercises – it's like having a personal trainer who never tires of demonstrating new moves.

Restaurant Manager Sean runs QĪN with the kind of attentiveness that makes dinner feel like an occasion. The Yin & Yang menu concept could easily sound pretentious, but it works perfectly. The flavours that contrast each other, light versus bold, warm versus cool, rich versus refreshing.

The starter trio alone is worth the trip. That prawn toast topped with Chinese caviar vanishes in two perfect bites, leaving you craving more. The spiced potato croquette with coriander sauce offers an earthy contrast, while the chicken thigh skewers bring citrus and heat (though I could have used more spice).

But the real culinary highlight? Those char-grilled lamb loin chops. Seriously good doesn't quite do it justice. The chef leaves just enough fat to enhance the meat's natural flavours, and every bite confirms why lamb is enjoying its moment in Singapore dining. The meal ends with a passion fruit and chocolate dessert that's zesty enough to cleanse your palate while satisfying your sweet tooth.

Here's something I didn't expect to love: their Yin Yoga sessions, led by instructor Kenny Leong. Unlike traditional active yoga, Yin Yoga involves holding passive poses for 3-5 minutes to target deep connective tissues and joints. This approach targets deep connective tissues, fascia, and joints rather than muscles, promoting flexibility and joint mobility in ways that active stretching cannot achieve. It's meditative rather than athletic, and honestly, I'm now a weekly regular.

From now until 27 December 2025, The Clan offers their "Art of Balance" experience starting at $788++. You enjoy full luxury room treatment in their MASTER Series, along with that amazing four-course Yin & Yang dinner, the yoga session, guided tea meditation, and daily breakfast. It's marketed as a wellness retreat, but really it's just a smart way to experience everything this hotel does exceptionally well.

The location puts you within walking distance of numerous dining choices, but after trying QĪN's thoughtful approach to flavour balance, you might find yourself comparing every other meal to what you had here.

The Clan Hotel succeeds because it doesn't try too hard. The luxury feels authentic, the service feels personal, and the food feels meaningful. It's the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer, not because you have to but because you really want to.
