There is no resisting a Tart be it a scrumptious Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Salted Caramel, Strawberry or a Blueberry Tart. Maison Sucree promises to ‘bake your day’ and after doing some investigation we at Expat Choice think this is a gem of a find.

Each of these choices has a crumbly, thin tart shell that is buttery, and lightly sweet, without being too hard. We had a hard time choosing our favourite, but the Strawberry Tart won in the end with its vanilla custard, speckled liberally with vanilla beans. Simply delicious.

Treat yourself one of these days! Head on down to Maison Sucree for a patisserie treat. After all, we all need a naughty surgery hit from time to time. Maison Sucree is conveniently located near to Redhill MRT station, so no excuse at lunchtime if you are based in Raffles Place to take a slight detour for some delicious cake satisfaction.

Maison Sucree

The lean team of two bakers is led by Executive Pastry Chef Elzuan Japar, whose credentials include stints at two Michelin-starred Saint Pierre, and Brasserie Gavroche. Its blue and white storefront is brightly lit, and very inviting. Its striking facade stands out from its neighbours.

Do note that while Maison Sucree open Tuesday- Sunday, 11am to 9pm. On our visit the full selection of bakes was not ready by 11am, which is useful to note if you were looking for a wider variety to choose from.
