Always wanted to make nature photography a hobby? Start out at Coney Island, a nature park with unmatched scenic beauty and gorgeous greens all around. Take along a pair of binoculars and spot rare species of birds and the best way to get around is on a cycle. We recommend enjoying a picnic out on the beach once you’re done exploring the flora and fauna but refrain from sharing your food with the critters especially the commonly found macaques.

Coney Island greets you with its lush greenery and is best explored on a bike. Pedal on to the beaches here as you make stops at picturesque spots, do some bird watching and explore wildlife on your way. The beaches may not be Singapore’s finest, but offer a tranquil atmosphere for you to unwind by the sea.

This ecologically sustainable park is home to coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. Bird watchers will have a meal of spotting one of the 80 species of birds that call Coney Island home. You can explore the forest area through the newly built boardwalk, or ride a 2.5 km stretch on the Coney Island Park Connector.

If you’re interested in more of a learning experience you can participate in the two-hour guided walks. It’s important to note there are no vendors here so you’ll have to bring your own water and food when you visit.
