When you visit Bar Uva you will be educating yourself with each bottle you return to experience. Did you know when you decanter a wine it allows the wine to be exposed to air, allowing it to oxidise and soften its flavours to be more palatable? 

Another handy piece of information is that Natural Wine is farmed organically (biodynamically, using permaculture or the like) and made (or rather transformed) without adding or removing anything in the cellar. No additives or processing aids are used, and ‘intervention’ in the naturally occurring fermentation process is kept to a minimum.

At Bar Uva guests can tipple on a light bodied crisp, refreshing wine. Easy drinking wines that pair well with light and lean foods, or go for a medium bodied wine sitting between a light and full bodied wine, encompasses a broad spectrum of flavours, pairs well with most foods and then there is full bodied wine, heavier, with bold tasting notes, complex flavours with powerful aromas. Pairs well with hearty flavours, like steak.

Interesting to note, Organic wine does have yeast added into it during fermentation, while natural wine does not. The wines labelled “made from organic grapes” means that the wine produced organically; however it may still have added sulfites.

Mains include Duck Confit Cannelloni with Smoked Burrata Cheese $32, Roast Organic Yellow Spring Chicken with Maple Glazed Carrots & Spiced Granola $36, the Salt Bush Lamb Shoulder with Roasted Grapes & Echalion Confit $34, and the prized USDA Prime Rib Eye (400g) with House Pickles & Harissa Peppers $56. End your gastronomy with a Varlhona Dark Chocolate Mousse with Candied Fruits $15.
